COVID 19: NEWS YOU CAN USE

The COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has now been approved for children 5 years and older.

Parents are inquiring on when and how their children can get vaccinated for COVID-19 in our office. Currently, we do not have the COVID-19 vaccine.  We are recommending vaccination sites through the Southern Nevada Health District. We have provided links below to find locations.

When making an appointment at vaccination sites, you must make sure it is the Pfizer-BioTech vaccine. This is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved for children 5-17 years of age.

Where Can I get tested for COVID-19?

Testing sites may change hours or days they are available, so please call or check the SNHD calendar first. If you feel you have been exposed, check here for quarantine guidelines, we are not testing in office. If your child is sick and you think they may have COVID, we can see them via telehealth. Give us a call for details.

PER THE CDC:

You can get a COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines at the same visit. You no longer need to wait 14 days between vaccinations.
Experience with other vaccines has shown that the way our bodies develop protection, known as an immune response, after getting vaccinated and possible side effects of vaccines are generally the same when given alone or with other vaccines.
